Roberto to leave his wife and not being in economic conditions of renting an apartment, goes to live with a friend of his cousin Marcelo, homosexual assumed. Soon grows between them a relationship. Adios Roberto was one of the first Argentine films deal without taboos on homosexuality. Its release comes two years after the return of democracy.
Adios Roberto (1985, Enrique Dawi), confronts two different social models, Roberto (Carlos Andres Calvo), a neighborhood boy and Marcelo (Victor Laplace), is the intellectual refinement. More than by physical attraction, Roberto seems seduced by the world Marcelo represents, with sensitivity and discovers a different language. The conflict is not raised in relation to the couple, but focuses on the struggle of Robert himself. Parents, the priest and friend of the neighborhood appear to him in his fantasies again and again to rebuke him for not complying with assuming social mandate.
